From a popular early 2000’s rap song, I bring you my post today. I’m apologizing right now to my Sunday School friends – I’m sorry I even know this song, but it works and if you’re familiar with it, you’ll have it in your head the rest of the day.
When my sister in law recently found out she was pregnant with her THIRD boy, I knew we had to come up with something sweet and innocent yet very boy. I say we as if she asked for my opinion – but I couldn’t help but put some things together and send to her. Luckily, she loved it all and started ordering!
My brother and their other two sons are big time boy – tractor driving, deer hunting, 4-wheeler riding, middle of nowhere living, all boy! So, this is what I came up with to combine their interests with chic and neutral. Don’t tell my brother I used the word chic to describe the room his future son will sleep in.
Since this is her third baby, she already has the crib and changing table, but wanted a new glider. This slipcovered one is perfect because it can later be moved into the living room after the late night rocking parties are over. Everything is very neutral, but the wallpaper on one wall will add some pop and add texture. The antler sconce might be my favorite. It’s pretty big so I can’t wait to see what it looks like installed. The bedding is a simple linen stripe that is so soft. There’s just something great about an understated bumper. I’ve always said, it’s not about the bedding, it’s about the entire room and I think this is a perfect example of that. Using a roman shade will help keep the light out of the room plus it’s just a cleaner look.
From the roman shade on the WINDOW to the wallpaper on the WALL – I can’t wait to see how this nursery turns out and I’m even more excited to be an aunt again.
Happy Window to the Wall Wednesday!
