Hallelujah – it’s Friday!
It seems like I was just doing this post last week – it is true, the days are long, but the years, or weeks, are short.
I’ve been searching all week for lamps for a client. She knew she needed to update her dining room, but without being too trendy. Here are a couple we decided on. Simple and clean, yet updated enough not to make her dining room look like an estate sale – her words, not mine! Good lamps just make a room. I think she decided to go with the one on the LEFT, but how amazing is the one on the RIGHT?
Hallelujah, Dee Dee is here! My parents have been gone RVing for the last three weeks up to Canada and back. Even though we live 4 hours away from them, we see them pretty often, so this trip seemed a lot longer than 3 weeks. My dad dropped my mom off on Wednesday night, and she’s staying ALL weekend. We love it when she’s here! Bath time, bedtime and dinner time run just a little smoother. It’s like being on a mini vacation! DeeDee and PB had an early morning “Cat in the Hat” lesson yesterday morning.
Speaking of PB – how in the world is he 23 months old? This is the last month of the months. You know, 23 months instead of 2 years old? That means birthday party planning has already begun. Having a fall birthday means having to look at the football schedule back in the spring to decide when your son’s party will be – sad I know. It actually works out this year to have it on the Saturday morning, the week of his birthday, with no major football dilemmas. PB, like every toddler in the world, is obsessed with balloons! So, I’m keeping it original, and we are having a balloon themed birthday! I ordered these balloons to spell his name. Did anyone know we are in a helium shortage, and that’s why helium is so expensive? Great to know AFTER you decide to do a balloon themed birthday party.
As I was scrolling through pictures on my phone, I came across both of these. The one on the left is last year the day of Meet the Teacher at MDO, and the one on the right is this year. Several things here, 1. Sorry for the bad quality of pics. 2. My hair got a little tamer, and PB actually grew some hair. 3. I’ve ordered pics for the frames in the background so that we aren’t tilting our heads each time we walk by to see them.
It’s fall y’all, and I really wish this weather would cooperate. It’s actually been pretty nice here all week, but not nice enough to carry around a PSL from Starbucks and not be sweating. I ordered this bubble a couple of weeks ago for AB from Cecil & Lou, and it came in this week. I’m obsessed with Cecil & Lou and would buy everything from them if I could. If you don’t know about them – check them out. The mammas behind the brand are fellow Red Raiders, and we have a couple of random connections. I think we should be friends!
We need to find a pumpkin patch stat!
Ok – that’s all I’ve got until Monday – if I’m alive. This weekend involves Garth Brooks, Texas Tech Football in Arkansas, and Mdub going to the Cowboys game in Philadelphia. Thank goodness Dee Dee is here!
