Magnolia Market

Last week, as we made our way back to Dallas from Austin, I conned Mdub into stopping at the famous Magnolia Market. Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past two years, you know exactly what I’m talking about. I had driven by a couple of times before, but the line was ridiculous, and I was always in a rush. Even though Mdub has seen the show several times, he really didn’t understand the hype, and I had to explain the entire story to him as we were pulling up. Yes, they are from Waco, yes, they are now famous, yes, they built this entire mega lot after getting popular on a TV show. Yes, MDub, people actually drive to Waco, TX from all over the US just to visit this store.

It really does sit in the middle of downtown Waco. As you pull up you see all kinds of people taking pictures from their cars, taking selfies out in front, and taking selfies of even the dirt. People are C-R-A-Z-Y about this place. Like crazy! We got lucky and walked right in, but I’ve seen on Instagram that’s not normal. The place was wall to wall people. The entire concept is amazing, and I am truly happy for this sweet couple. They have hit the jackpot on showing America a normal, happy couple with zero drama. We didn’t stay long because it was cold and rainy, but we did leave with 2 tiny carpenter pencils for my dad’s stocking (if he’s reading, hopefully he’ll forget by Christmas). So glad we stopped, just to see what the hype is all about – it made it a little easier to get Mdub to watch the season premier  with me last night!IMG_6268IMG_6270IMG_6269
