Five on Friday – Friday Favorites

And it’s Friday again!  I’ve been a slacker this week, and have not blogged a single time all week.  Between my real work, house work, fun work, and a sick baby, life is kicking my booty!! Even though my house is a disaster, and I still need to pack for a totally amazing weekend, I can’t pass on a fun link up with Five on Friday and Friday Favorites!  So, here we go!

ONE

These two!  The many faces of PB and AB.  Even though I do not think they look alike at all, they have so many of the same expressions.  Just look at these cute little faces!! Sometimes I just laugh out loud as I snap a pic!  I have a strong feeling that someday they will be partners in crime together!!

TWO

AB turned 11 months this week.  I know, I need to post an entire blog about her 11th month, but for now, here’s her 11th month picture. Her hair is still my favorite!  I mean, look at those curls.  Pictures just don’t do it justice.  I need to take a picture of the back of her head to prove just how curly it is.  I never dreamed I would have a little girl with brown curly hair – where does this come from?  Oh, yeah, MDub …….

THREE

Have any of you tried these sippy cups?  Truly a miracle cup!! Our friend Kelsey introduced them to us before Christmas.  They are the BEST, so each of my kids got one in their stockings.  It took a little while for the kids to get used to them, but once they got the hang of it, they never looked back.  Although, it is fun to throw the cups on the floor to see a little milk seep out.  Other than that, totally spill proof – that’s a win in my book!!

FOUR

Boys, boys, boys………  It seems that every prego momma I know right now is having a boy. I am working on a couple of baby boy nurseries, and it’s a challenge to come up with original ideas for boys.  Gone are the days of themed nurseries of Noah’s Ark (thank goodness) and trains.  Although, PB would love to have a train room right now #nothappening  A couple of years ago, I helped a new mom with her nursery, and she insisted on these sheets.  Changing a crib sheet is nothing short of a mini-workout! These are a little pricey, but well worth it for a quick wash.

FIVE

And, I have saved the absolute best for last  — a weekend getaway!  My four best friends and I are getting the heck out of town for a much needed girls’ weekend.  Between us, we have 10 babies and 2 on the the way.  We are some tired mommas that NEED an R&R trip! So it’s off to a big house where we’ll each have our own bed then a full Spa Saturday!  Remember me complaining last fall about the extravagant, fantasy, football trip?  Now it’s the girls turn for our little mini vacay!  No kids, no husbands, no agenda ……Relaxing weekend, here we come!!

That’s a wrap!  I’m off to pack!! I hope each of you enjoy your weekend as much as I know I will.  Dear Monday, I don’t want to see you for a long time!

  1. MUST try those sippy cups!! My LO is having such a hard time transitioning to the sippy and I’m having an even harder time with them spilling literally everywhere. URG. Happy weekend!

  2. I love the idea of those cups, but my daughter refuses to use hers! I offered it to her with her favorite drink for about a week and she wouldn’t touch it. So I’ve retired it for a bit with the hopes that she’ll be more interested in it later on. Glad it’s working so well for you because it’s amazing!!
