Five on Friday – Friday Favorites!

It’s Friday, so you know what that means – I’m linking up for Friday Favorites and Five on Friday.  Hallelujah for the weekend!! I’ve been suffering this week. Five days with no hubby plus a cold, then throw in there a couple of days with no phone. #firstworldproblems.

ONE:
Yesterday, this little girl turned ONE. ONE – how can that be? I blogged yesterday about her birth story. I didn’t have this blog a year ago to write it all down, so I wanted to remember it forever. Nothing crazy or exciting, just a simple c-section that needed to be documented. Happy Birthday AB – we love you!

TWO:
It’s Valentine’s weekend and that means parties at school, aka MDO. To say PB is obsessed with trains is an understatement. So, when I saw Heather Beck & Co post these adorable cards, I knew we had to have them. So easy to print out and attach to something train, right? Well, the hunt was on for all things train related. I finally found these small whistles on Amazon and thank goodness for PRIME. PB doesn’t quite grasp the concept of “we’re taking these to school for your friends” quite yet. I finally just had to hide them to prevent multiple meltdowns. Thanks Heather Beck – we love them!

THREE:
This week my phone all but quit working. On Sunday night, PB dropped it flat on its back and the screen went crazy. I couldn’t answer or text for a whole day because of crazy lines on the screen. Fortunately, about six months ago, I had one of those protective screen things (there’s probably a better term) added to the glass after the second time I shattered it. When I took it in to Apple and removed the protective screen, much to my surprise, the actual glass looked brand new. SOOO – Apple gave me a new phone right on the spot. The $30 protective screen is my absolute favorite of the week! If you have kids or just clumsy hands, do yourself a favor and invest today!

FOUR:
If anyone else is late to the agenda game, join me by hitting up Paper Source this weekend.  I bought one at Tar-jay at the first of the year, but quickly realized, it was not going to do the job. During my 2 hour Apple wait this week, I snuck in to Paper Sourceand, just my luck, all their planners and calendars are currently 50% off. I’m in LOVE! First, it’s so cute and second, it has so much space to write. I have big handwriting, so tiny lines are not my friend. It also has a hard cover so getting thrown between purse and diaper bag will be no problem. Screen Shot 2016-02-11 at 8.58.52 PM

FIVE:
Anyone missing winter like me? Don’t get me wrong, the weather has been ahhh-mazing, but I’m dreaming of a little snow and a few colder days. We’ve been playing outside every afternoon, and PB might have a few new favorites.  Our sweet neighbors are so much fun, and since they are originally from Lubbock, we love them even more!

Happy Weekend everyone – we have big plans to clean up our yard. Since it’s more like spring instead of February, we’ve been spending a lot of time out side, and I can’t stand to look at it any longer. Depending on our progress, I’ll update on Monday!
