Last weekend was so fun, yet so busy for the Walther crew – just like we like it. It all started Friday morning with the kids’ school Pumpkin Patch (I’ll share those pics later) followed by a night at the State Fair. Because you know, it’s super smart to take 6 kids ages 4 and under to the fair on the last Friday night of the season. SO MANY PEOPLE! The fair should probably be a post in itself, but ain’t nobody got time for that!
We started off with animals and ended with animals – the kids’ favorite things at the moment. PB has a thing for Cock-A-doodle-doos right now. No clue where this came from, but it’s his favorite word at the moment.
So many attempts at a Big Tex photo. The girls did great – PB unfortunately, not so much! As usual, he freaked at the group pic. One day, they will all stand perfectly for us….I just know it!
Another stroll by the tractors, cows, and the big “Cattle Barn” sign! Not sure why, but I love that sign – maybe it brings back memories of me always wanting to show cows (pretty sure that’s not the correct way to say it), and my dad saying, “Heck, NO.”
Peace out, State Fair – until next year!
On Saturday morning, we got up and headed south for another UMHB football game. So random, but as we were walking up – late- we heard the announcer say something about Chuck Norris, but didn’t think much about it. As we were waiting for the elevator in the lobby, out he walked. PB was super excited to meet him!!
The game wore them out – so, of course, a little snapchat fun was to be had!
After another UMHB win, we rushed back to Dallas in time for fajitas with friends and the Tech game. (which I didn’t take a single pic of!) Mdub and I are both having a hard football season – thank goodness for UMHB or Mdbub might have to be admitted somewhere.
After church on Sunday, the boys napped……………
……and the girls went to sweet Charlotte’s Sip & See. Somebody liked the fruit!
Needless to say, we were all ready for bedtime Sunday night. Monday morning hit hard….and we’ve been trying to recover ever since.
Happy Hump Day!
