Can anyone say snail’s pace? Nothing is moving slower than the speed of our kitchen reno.
This is week 5 of the One Room Challenge and maybe five things have been completed…..and that’s a generous number.
That’s ok though -my eyes are on the prize!
Two things to report on – we have a sink and new faucet!!!! Not actually installed, but they are both in the box, sitting in the dining room just waiting for new counters.
Shocker I know, but I ordered the exact same ones we had in our first house. I just loved that kitchen so much and didn’t get to enjoy it long enough.
I really liked this sink that I used before, so I ordered a very similar one. The straight, clean lines are my fav! Very industrial, commercial like.
The faucet is very farmhouse like. Polished chrome is my jam! Even though I now live in the city, I still need a little farmhouse in my life!
Even though this project is supposed to be complete by next week, I’m going to act like everyone still wants to follow along with this 18 week project! I’ll continue to report each Thursday on the progress, and hopefully by Christmas (please, oh, please) we will have a finished kitchen.
Stay focused……stay focused…..stay focused…….
So here’s the plan……
Take down the wall in between the kitchen and living room.
2. New Countertops – Carrara Marble
3. Install Backsplash
4. Double Ovens
6. Install microwave over ovens
7. Replace sink, faucet and
dishwasher – delivered!
8. Window treatments – ordered
9. Pendants – maybe. I’m not sure if it will be possible because of the vent-a-hood.
Move outlets and light switch
11. Enjoy Thanksgiving in a new kitchen!
