Do you remember …oh, say almost a year ago, when I was working on this nursery for the One Room Challenge? My friend, Jeni, was pregnant, so I thought it would be the perfect space to work on during that challenge. However, the challenge ended, and she still hadn’t had her baby. Well, that’s been almost a year ago, and I’m just now getting pictures taken of the space. (I use only the best photographer, and she’s pretty busy!)
Come take a look at this perfect little space.
If you remember, this was the guest bedroom that we converted into this third baby’s nursery. We kept the wallpaper and worked the rest of the room around it. We ordered the basics, but then waited until knowing the gender before finishing it off. That’s why it wasn’t complete by the end of the One Room Challenge last year.
And the After……
This mama knows what she wants, so she had a couple of musts. Number one on that list is extreme darkness. I’m pretty sure those curtains are triple lined to keep the room as dark as possible. Next on the list was a chair that fit her. She’s just a tad taller than me (haha), so finding the right rocker was key. Keeping the big pieces neutral, and then adding in pops of color at the end makes for a serene baby room for this little boy. The sailboat touches might just be my favorite which are a tribute to his late grandfather.
This room is perfect, and it’s fitting because Hayes is the sweetest, most perfect baby ever. Thanks JM for trusting me with this little space!
