I realized after showing you my kitchen on Monday, I’ve never really shown our current house on this blog. So today, you get to see the outside – what we started with and where we are today.
When we sold our first house, one of the things I was sad about was not having the time to complete the exterior. So, when budgeting and searching for house number two, the first thing on the priority list was going to be the outside. If I didn’t get to do it at the Woodstone house, I was for sure going to do it at Vista View.
There’s really nothing better to me than painted brick. Don’t get me wrong, there are some pretty brick houses out there, but there’s just something about a a fresh coat of paint on those 1970’s bricks that bring the house back to life. This is what we bought a little over three years ago. Yes, Mdub thought I was crazy and he just couldn’t see the vision…and let me tell you the grass did NOT look like that. That’s a really
good realtor photoshop job!
We obviously painted the brick, but then we also added shutters and awnings and replaced the front door right off the bat. The landscape has been ongoing in this Texas heat, but something that looks so much better than it did the day we moved in.
In a neighborhood where every house was built in 1970 by the same two or three builders, paint has been something that has transformed most of them from all looking the exact same.
