Last week, I shared our new kitchen, and then what we’ve done with the exterior of this house last Wednesday. Come on in as I show you my favorite door of all time and a few more pics of the updates that have been done.
Hallelujah, it’s finally Friday! This has been one busy week filled with work events, trying to stay afloat with some design projects, and shuffling kids back and forth.
On Monday, I shared our updated kitchen with you – that only took eight months to complete! It has changed how we live every day and updated our house so much.
I realized after showing you my kitchen on Monday, I’ve never really shown our current house on this blog. So today, you get to see the outside – what we started with and where we are today.
I’m back! After taking more than three months off, I felt it was time to get this thing back up. I’ve been more than lazy soaking up time with just two littles before a third comes in November – yep, that’s my excuse. Working, taking care of my little fam, and trying to wrap my brain around being a mom of three.
SOOO – remember that kitchen reno that started last fall? Well, it’s finally finished, and I finally had pictures taken, so I could share.
Happy first week of April – also known as, the first time I’ve blogged in over a month. I know, I know – no, I didn’t drop off the face of the earth, and, no, I didn’t stop blogging. It’s just that our busy little family has just been having fun, soaking up the amazing weather, and I chose to make that a priority over this fun little blog.
However, I have a couple of fun rooms to share with you over the next week or so. Maybe that will give me some major motivation to keep this thing up!
So, if you’ve been reading this blog for more than a hot minute, you know that I’ve been working on Paige’s house for an eternity……ok, so just two years. I’m proud to say as of today, the only room left is the laundry room…….that’s until she wakes up one day and wants to start all over. It’s the house that just keeps on giving!
Styling a bookshelf might be one of my most favorite things to do in life. It pulls a space together and makes the room look finished.
Do you remember …oh, say almost a year ago, when I was working on this nursery for the One Room Challenge? My friend, Jeni, was pregnant, so I thought it would be the perfect space to work on during that challenge. However, the challenge ended, and she still hadn’t had her baby. Well, that’s been almost a year ago, and I’m just now getting pictures taken of the space. (I use only the best photographer, and she’s pretty busy!)
Come take a look at this perfect little space.
It’s week 4 of the One Room Challenge, and, yea, it’s not getting done! Debby Downer over here I know, but y’all – why do projects take FOREVER in your own home?
The one main update of the week – electrical. Such a boring topic, but had to be done…and it’s not even all the way finished. I now have an even bigger mess than before the electrician came. There were a few outlets and the light switch for the room housed in the wall that came down. Therefore, it all has to be moved through the attic to another wall.
Before the electrician…..
How is already week three of this six week One Room Challenge? That scares me a little, and I’m pretty much already telling you that there’s probably NO way this thing will be finished in time. Are we sensing a theme here? I did the same thing last season; however, that was not my fault – I was waiting on a baby to be born for that one.
Ok, back to the project. This was the first week something actually happened, well other than a dishwasher being installed. And I actually don’t even care if nothing else gets done. It is SO nice to have the wall taken down in between the kitchen and living room.
We finished up the birthday party weekend, and then about 3:00 pm on Sunday afternoon, I begged MDub to take a sledge hammer to the wall. After much complaining and one new tool later, he was having a lot of fun. Why does it take so much building up of men before they agree to do something? Never fails, Mdub always enjoys the job, but getting him to do it is less than a simple task.
On to the fun pics!
