Floral – Flamingo Girls Room Reveal

How have I not shared these photos? This room was finished over a year ago, and for some reason, I’m just now sharing it.
As always, the Walker house is always up for doing something bold.  When I showed them what I had in mind, they were immediately on board.
If you remember, or were around a year ago, I shared the plan HERE. After weeks of ordering, searching for, and then having the wall painted, the room finally came together. Then, it took another six months to get the photographer to actually take photos of her own house. What’s that saying about the cobbler kids have no shoes??

Take a look at how we combined a love for flamingos, flowers, and lots and lots of PINK

I LOVE LOVE a room with two matching bed, and these fit the theme perfectly. You can barely see, but there are flower rosettes on the headboard and footboard. The homeowner already had the beds and mirrored chest, but everything else was new.

I did an entire post HERE on the pink chair. I’m not a fan of taking items straight off the shelf to decorate with. Most everything needs to be painted, a monogram, or new knobs added. We painted the chair and the shelves, which are from IKEA, but, of course, aren’t on their site.

The accent wall was hand painted by a family friend – it’s even better in person!
If I were a little girl, I would want my room to look exactly like this. All of my favorites- flowers, flamingos, and a lot of PINK.

Black and White Nursery

Baby Griffin quite possibly has the best room in this entire home. If you’ve been reading this blog for any time, you know that for the last year I’ve been slowly chipping away at each room of Paige’s new house.

Baby Griffin was born back in March (I think) #badfriend, and we finished it up a week or two after he made his appearance.

If you know Paige at all, you know that she could care less about sweet and traditional. When I first asked her what she was thinking, she said fun and not your typical boy nursery.  Check, check, check! Not many people would be ok with doing a black and white room for a newborn, but it is actually super cheery and very bright.

We started off with this fab wallpaper. I’ve been in love with this print for quite some time in the soft white and blue color. Leave it to Paige to like the black! The entire room is black and white with added accents of green to make the birds pop. Simple accessories with the bold pattern wallpaper balance out the room. The crib sits perfectly on a white wall with a fun dot mobile hanging above.
Buffalo check is still going strong, and you better bet I’m gonna use it until I can’t stand it anymore. This pillow made out of the oversized black and white version is to die for sitting on the white rocker.
The bathroom is right off the nursery and was already finished out in black and white. We added a few monogrammed towels, gold accessories, and called it a day. You don’t have to over do – keep things simple!

I’m so glad Paige is bold and not afraid to try anything. She trusts everything I suggest and is always up for a challenge. Thank you, Paige, for letting me be a part of yet another room in your new house. Five rooms down, 2.5 more to go!

Floral – Flamingo Girls Room

Aven room

As I’ve mentioned before, for several months now I’ve been helping out Paige with her new house. Currently, we are working on her youngest daughters bedroom and she wanted all pink! Since flamingos are extremely popular right now I knew we had to work them into the design. We are using a couple of existing pieces and adding new bedding and accessories. Aven’s only request was that she wanted fun sheets – jackpot! Hopefully she will love them as much as I do.

This room is made up of several shades of pink along with Fuzzy blankets, Flowers, & Flamingos!
I can’t wait to show you the fun surprise in the room – check back to see the final look in a couple of weeks.

Annabell Paxton’s Nursery!

Today I’m sharing AB’s nursery. This might be my favorite room in our house right now. I actually found this wallpaper before I was event pregnant with PB and knew I wanted to use it if I ever had a girl. PB’s nursery has wallpaper on the ceiling and even though this would have been fab on the ceiling, I didn’t want to be known as the house with every ceiling wallpapered when we decide to sell.

I asked My friend Jenny to commission my wedding dress for the room. It’s basically the only thing I have hanging on the wall since the wallpaper is so busy.

The mirror is a thrift store find from several years ago as well as the lamp.

I added these awesome large knobs to the Ikea Besta System to create a unique changing table.

We’ve spent many nights rocking in this chair!

Her bed is my absolute favorite piece in the room. Thanks to my awesome carpenter (my dad) he converted the crib my mom used with my brothers and me into this awesome upholstered one of a kind piece of furniture.

AB’s nursery is girly in every way possible and I hope she will love it as much as I do!
